Major League Hacking’s Local Hack Day is a 12-hour event to bring together tech enthusiasts from your local community and make that community more connected. Similar to a hackathon, attendees will spend the day building projects, learning new technologies and sharing their creations over the course of a day in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned hackathon organizer or have never been to a hackathon before, MLH Local Hack Day is one of the best ways to directly engage your community and is designed to make it easier for newcomers to get acquainted with the format of a hackathon.

Hackathons are learning focused invention marathons where participants dream up fun, interesting projects and work in small teams to bring them to life over the course of the event.

When you're not working on your project, there are plenty of other things to do like attending educational workshops, making friends, or showing off what you're learning or building. At Local Hack Day, you can do these with other participants at your location or participants around the world at other locations!

STEM Community is a community of high school teenagers who encourage one another to apply self-learning in various studies in general, and STEM subjects in particular. STEM is an abbreviation for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Around Egypt, there are 15 STEM Schools, which form this community. Those schools are 6th of October, Maadi, Alexandria, Dakahlia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Assuit, Red Sea, Luxor, Monufia, Ismailia, Gharbia, Sharqia, Qalyubia, Beni Suef, and Qena.

These schools were fully supervised and constructed with the help of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID is the world's premier international development agency and a catalytic actor driving development results. USAID's work advances U.S. national security and economic prosperity, demonstrates American generosity, and promotes a path to recipient self-reliance and resilience.

STEM LHD is an event where STEM students gather to share their interests, knowledge, passion, and skills in technical and non-technical ways. Whether they are geeks or not, only those who have an interest or a passion to learn, apply and compete are welcomed in the hackathon.

STEM LHD is an event from and to the youth; organizers, speakers, and participants are nearly in the same life stage, young. All of that to make people certain about their opportunities in accomplishing what they passionate about, inspiring their minds about lots of fields. Whatever the age, young or old, everybody can do what he wants, what he wishes and what he needs.

The event includes a panel discussion where speakers who are knowledgeable about specific topics come, around Egypt, to spread their knowledge and skills! These specific topics are like cybersecurity, google assistant, machine learning, embedded systems, cloud, game development, android development, etc.… Also, the event includes a fair where companies and initiatives to talk about their missions and visions towards the future where the audience can participate in such a movement. Last, the event includes workshops and competitions where people can apply what they have newly learned and win enormous prizes.
